This Colour event is held in the relaxed setting of our studio in Pershore, Worcestershire.  This event allows you to experience a mini colour analysis (approximately 25 minutes) to gain an understanding of which colours work best for you.  (Includes a printed swatch book)

Take-in & Let-out (Tops & Dresses)

To 'resize or re-shape' a garment requires making part of it smaller or bigger in specific areas, and this is the solution to having garments that fit your unique body.

In this sewing workshop, you will learn the art of Resizing & Re-shaping garments, including:

• How to identify your best standard size garment suitable for alteration.

• The basic areas of garments that can be adjusted to alter shape and fit.

• How to fit and prepare a garment for alteration.

• How to sew or create a dart adjustment for garment alteration

• How to sew or create a seam adjustment for garment alteration

The workshop is held in our styling studio in Pershore and lasts approximately 3 hours.  After a welcome tea/coffee, we will guide you through how to identify your body shape, working with each other to determine your best lengths of jacket, your most flattering necklines and how to incorporate prints or patterns into your looks.  By sharing tricks of the trade, we will help you understand why certain clothes work on you and others don’t - allowing you to make informed decisions about the clothes you wear moving forward.

The neckline is the ‘frame’ between you and your perfect garment style. 

In this sewing workshop, you will learn to reshape, lower, raise, and de-collar, to create your perfect choice of style, including: 

• Typical neckline shapes & collar types.

• How to fit and prepare a collar/neckline for reshaping.

• How to sew a neckline or collar garment alteration.

• How to use the neckline to ‘Take-in’ a garment.
